To assist developers in producing WAP applications and WAP services Nokia has developed a toolkit. The Nokia WAP Toolkit provides a development environment for people who want to provide Internet services and content for mobile terminals. It will allow developers to write, test, debug, and run applications on PC-based simulations of both the Nokia 7100 series phone as well as a Nokia concept phone prototype.
This WAP Toolkit Product is released to deliver WAP 1.2 conformance as well as other new features. WAP 1.2 conformance is delivered via the 'blueprint' prototype phone and the 'local' encoders (WML and WMLS). The 7110 phone simulator and Server Simulator are WAP 1.1 implementations.
